Our great care of your tooth makes it like sword of Ninja.

One of the most feared procedures in the world of dentistry is quite possibly the most misunderstood. A root canal is an area inside of a tooth that contains both the tooth’s pulp and its nerve. When a tooth becomes infected, a root canal procedure becomes necessary to prevent issues such as chronic pain and eventual tooth loss. At our Clinic, the highly trained dentists may suggest a root canal procedure if a patient is experiencing symptoms of an infected tooth. Common symptoms are a localized toothache, prolonged tooth sensitivity, swelling of the gums around a tooth, an abscess, or pimple on the gums around a specific tooth and/or darkening of a tooth. Confi Dental Clinic is located near Dickinson, Tx is the best option available and affordable dentist near you

Root canal treatment generally requires two visits to our dental office. During your first visit, a small access hole will be drilled into the infected tooth through which our dentists can insert tiny files to scrape away debris and infection. Periodically during this process, the root canal will be flushed with sodium chloride to ensure complete removal of the infection. If our dentists believe your tooth has been sufficiently cleaned after this first visit, the access hole will be sealed. If the infection was serious, medication will be placed into the tooth, and you must wait five to seven days to seal the hole. In both instances, an additional visit for the placement of a dental crown will be necessary to protect the impacted tooth. We will take great care of you and ensure your tooth is treated without pain, worry, or fear. We look forward to welcoming you to our dental practice.

Taking Care Of Your Oral Health In Self Isolation

During self-isolation, make sure you are well prepared to care for your oral health. The pandemic is disrupting every area of our lives are currently, including physical activity. We can no longer simply go for a walk, visit the gym or play team sports, while the temptation is to sit at home and spend more time on the couch. However, physical inactivity is a major risk factor for developing a serious disease

Toothbrush Hygiene

Keep safe by making sure nobody uses each other’s toothbrushes and that they are stored well away from everybody else’s toothbrush. The damp environment of a toothbrush is ideal for spreading viruses. Use separate toothpaste as well.

Continue with Your Normal Oral Care Routine

Sticking to every day routines is important while self-isolating and particularly your dental maintenance routine. Make sure you continue to brush at least twice a day and floss once-a-day. If you wish, use a mouthwash for 30 seconds as this can slightly reduce the risk of spreading viruses.

Watch Your Diet

It’s a time when it’s tempting to indulge in snacks and Netflix, but try to limit your consumption of sugary or acidic foods. Instead, concentrate on eating foods that will boost your immune systems like vitamin-rich and nutrient-dense fruits and veggies.

Stay Active

Make sure you have some form of physical activity every day. If you can’t get outside, there are plenty of fun exercise routines online.

Drink plenty of Water

It is easy to become dehydrated and especially if you are fighting an infection. Some medications can reduce saliva flow too, so be sure to drink plenty of plain water.
